Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing an exceptional dining experience. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a pleasant experience from start to finish. Duties Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, providing menus and information about daily specials. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are noted. Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper sanitation standards. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Manage cash register transactions, including processing payments and handling cash accurately. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders and address any issues that may arise. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces as needed. Provide attentive service throughout the meal, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction. Handle customer inquiries or complaints in a professional manner, striving for resolution. Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy periods. Knowledge of culinary terms and practices is a plus, along with an understanding of food safety regulations. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills for processing transactions. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
