Server — Part Time Sharkie's — Woodstock, NY Sharkie's is a busy, fast-paced restaurant and specialty food market in Woodstock, NY. We're looking for a reliable, friendly Server to join our team. This is a part-time position and the job is more than traditional table service. Our servers handle full-service dine-in guests, walk-in takeout orders, phone orders, and checkout for our specialty market , so we're looking for someone who is comfortable juggling different responsibilities while keeping a friendly attitude. What You'll Do Greet and take care of dine-in guests from seating through payment. Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into our POS system. Take walk-in takeout orders and make sure orders are entered and prepared correctly. Answer the phone and take takeout and other customer orders . Ring up purchases from our specialty food market , including packaged foods and other retail items. Deliver food and drinks to tables and check on guests throughout their meal. Answer questions about our menu and products and help customers make selections. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately. Bus and reset tables and keep the dining room clean and organized. Help keep the front of the restaurant, counter, and market area clean and stocked. Communicate with the kitchen to make sure orders are accurate and moving smoothly. Work as part of a small team and jump in wherever help is needed. Follow food safety and restaurant cleanliness standards. What We're Looking For Previous restaurant or customer service experience is preferred. Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with customers. Able to stay calm and organized during busy periods. Strong attention to detail — especially when taking orders and handling payments. Comfortable using a POS system. Toast experience is a plus. Reliable and punctual. A team player who is willing to help wherever needed. Able to stand for extended periods and move around throughout a shift. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The Job This is a good fit for someone who likes a busy, varied workday and enjoys interacting with customers. No two shifts are exactly the same — you may be taking a phone order one minute, ringing up a market customer the next, and then taking care of a full-service table. We're a small team, so being dependable, helpful, and willing to pitch in is important. Part-time position. $11/hour plus tips. Servers typically average approximately $30/hour including credit card tips , with additional cash tips.
