Food & Beverage

• Tippecanoe Country Club We are looking for a warm, dependable, and team-oriented individual to join our food and beverage team full-time. The ideal candidate is a genuine people person — someone who takes pride in their work, is eager to learn and grow, and understands that hospitality is the substance of everything we do. Prior serving experience is welcomed but not required; we will train the right person. What matters most is attitude, reliability, and a sincere desire to take care of people. Flexible Availability a priority, must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed. Starting Rate:

$11.00+ per hour (based on experience), plus gratuities.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for delivering attentive, gracious table and bar service to members and their guests; preparing and serving beverages to club standards; maintaining a clean and well-stocked service area; and contributing to an overall member experience that is welcoming, polished, and memorable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

(Other duties will be assigned as needed.) Must be willing and able to do the following: Greet members and guests warmly and promptly, making each person feel welcomed, valued, and looked after from the moment they arrive. Take food and beverage orders accurately, answer questions about the menu, and offer thoughtful recommendations that enhance the member experience. Serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to club standards. Provide attentive, professional table service throughout each shift. Maintain a clean, well-organized, and fully stocked service area. Set up and break down service stations before and after each shift, including completion of all assigned side work. Be knowledgeable of all menu items, daily specials, and events, and be able to suggest food and beverage pairings. Account for and balance all sales and receipts accurately at the close of each shift. Provide accountability for any comped or voided items in accordance with club policy. Assist fellow servers, bartenders, and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth, seamless service — there are no lines between stations. Assist the host with greeting and seating members and guests when needed. Communicate special requests and any service issues promptly to the kitchen and management. Become proficient in the use of all equipment, utensils, and the Point-of-Sale system, including credit card terminals. Have a thorough understanding of and practice the Tippecanoe Country Club Employee Handbook, employee benefits, and club philosophies. Uphold all applicable policies and requirements of employment laws. Communicate repair and maintenance needs to the appropriate manager or repair source. Pass a food and beverage test with a score of 90% or more. Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures, and wash hands regularly according to guidelines. Move safely through all areas of the club, which may include stairs, uneven and slick surfaces. Be able to stand and walk for an entire shift. Perform more than one task at a time and remain calm and effective in a busy environment. Lift and move up to 10 pounds frequently, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

GENERAL RULES

Must be willing and able to do the following: Get along with others and be a team player. Follow all uniform and appearance guidelines befitting the image of the club for the duration of the shift. Refrain from smoking and cell phone usage unless on break. Arrive to work on time and in ready-to-work condition. Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment outlined in the Employee Handbook. May not work under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drugs. May not resort to any type of violence, discriminatory, or harassing behavior. Accept direction and constructive criticism from management with a positive, professional attitude. Be able to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts, including weekends and holidays. Failure to abide by these and any other conditions of employment set forth by the club may subject an employee to disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Pay:

$11.00 - $12.00 per hour
