This role involves delivering attentive service, upselling menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction through meticulous attention to detail and hospitality excellence. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items and wine pairings to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times. Assist with bussing tables, refilling beverages, and maintaining a clean dining area throughout service. Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food delivery and accommodate special dietary requests when necessary. Maintain knowledge of the restaurant's offerings, including culinary details, wine list, and current promotions. Qualifications Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Previous experience in food service roles such as serving, bussing, hosting/hostessing is advantageous. Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy.
