This role is responsible for creating a welcoming guest experience from the moment customers enter the café to the time they leave. The ideal candidate is confident in communication, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the full menu in depth in order to accurately describe and recommend products to guests. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and create a welcoming atmosphere Guide guests to their tables and provide seating assistance Take orders accurately and communicate clearly with kitchen/bar staff Develop full knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients, preparation, and flavor profiles Confidently describe and recommend menu items to all customers when serving Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and provide attentive service Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining area and service stations Process payments and handle POS transactions accurately Assist with opening and closing duties as needed Follow all café service standards to ensure a consistent guest experience Requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skills (required) Ability to learn and retain menu knowledge quickly and thoroughly Friendly, welcoming, and customer-focused attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Reliable, punctual, and professional Flexible availability, including weekends and peak hours Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Preferred Qualities Previous experience in café, restaurant, or hospitality service preferred Confidence speaking with guests and explaining menu items clearly Strong attention to detail and presentation Calm and efficient under pressure during busy service periods Passion for hospitality, food, tea, coffee, or matcha culture Schedule Part-time or full-time availability depending on café needs Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends Compensation & Perks Competitive hourly wage + tips Employee discounts Training on full menu and service standards Growth opportunities as dine-in operations expand
