Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions Provide expert recommendations on menu items, including wine pairings and cocktail options, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales through upselling techniques Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation in accordance with food safety regulations Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience from start to finish Handle cashing out guests accurately, processing payments via POS systems, and balancing cash drawers at shift end Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain smooth restaurant operations Requirements Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally Ability to upsell menu items including spirits, wines, cocktails, and desserts to maximize sales opportunities Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a busy setting while maintaining attention to detail Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities Previous experience in serving or host/hostess roles within the food industry is preferred but not required Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced hospitality environment Embark on an exciting journey in hospitality where your enthusiasm makes every guest's visit special!
