Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service within our facility. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This position is perfect for individuals with experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals who are passionate about nutrition and customer service. Hours are weekdays 4-7pm with shifts available to pick up on weekends. Every other holiday. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas Buss tables and assist with cleaning up after meals to ensure a tidy dining environment Support the dietary department by managing inventory and restocking supplies as needed Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and address any dietary concerns of residents Follow proper sanitation procedures during food production and meal preparation Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing their needs and preferences regarding meals Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred Familiarity with assisted living, nursing home, or hospital environments is a plus Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents and staff Experience in food preparation, cooking, serving, and cleaning within a kitchen setting is advantageous A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all aspects of food service Join us in making a difference in the lives of our residents through quality meal service and compassionate care!
