Job Description

Gyro 2 Go is a locally owned and operated Mediterranean restaurant looking to hire a cashier to join our team! We are currently hiring one cashier who is a self starter, great communicator and is committed to delivering an exceptional experience to our guests. As a cashier at Gyro 2 Go, you will mostly work
  • nights (dinner shift) and weekends
•. Perfect hours for a college student! We require availability for at least one day of the weekend to ensure flexibility and coverage during busy shifts. We understand the need of having a flexible schedule and strive to accommodate our employees' needs as much as possible. during their shift so that you can enjoy our delicious food too :) Your responsibilities as a cashier will include, but not limited to:
  • Operate the POS system to efficiently take orders
  • Manage online and 3rd party delivery orders
  • Bag up orders and ensure that all items are placed in the correct bag for each order and given to the appropriate customer
  • Ability to work and communicate well in a small team setting
  • Ensure restaurant cleanliness by clearing and wiping tables, washing and sanitizing dishes, keeping your area clean and stocked. Sweep and mop the lobby at end of the night.
  • Acquire full knowledge of the menu and menu items, you're the go-to person for customer questions
  • Keep a positive, friendly and helpful attitude while interacting with customers
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency as needed throughout your shift
  • Handle cash responsibly and accurately count your own till
  • Maintaining regular and punctual attendance is expected
  • Perform nightly inventory check
  • While previous cooking experience is not required, we appreciate a willingness to learn basic food preparation, allowing you to grow within our dynamic team.
