Job Description
Prepares function site assures meeting room is set according to specifications. Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines. Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas according to Banquet Event Order or as directed. Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager. Helps to maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment. Assists in monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area. Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as required. Prior banquet, catering, or restaurant experience preferred. Excellent customer service and teamwork skills. Ability to lift and carry trays, move banquet furniture, and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. OLCC and Food Handler's certifications (or ability to obtain). Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Able to pass a drug test and pre-employment criminal background check. Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in company approved uniform at all times. Must be able to deliver plated food, clear tables and assist in banquet set up, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be able to effectively card all guests who appear under the age of 30 for alcohol purchases and under the age of 25 for tobacco purchases. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
