Screen Door Eastside is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Restaurant Server to provide attentive service and a welcoming dining experience for guests. This role involves greeting customers, explaining menu items, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and coordinating with kitchen and front-of-house team members. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive, and professional service. Present menus and answer questions about food, beverages, and menu options. Take customer orders accurately and communicate special requests clearly. Enter orders into the POS system and verify order details. Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately. Check on guests during their meals and respond to requests. Coordinate with kitchen staff to help ensure order accuracy and timely service. Process payments and assist with checkout when required. Clear and reset tables to maintain an organized dining area. Keep service stations and guest areas clean and properly stocked. Communicate guest concerns or special requests to the appropriate team member. Follow food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant service procedures. Assist with opening, closing, and other routine duties as assigned. Work cooperatively with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management during busy periods. Qualifications Previous restaurant, server, hospitality, or customer-service experience is helpful. Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to guests. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Good attention to order accuracy and customer needs. Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Able to manage multiple tables and service tasks efficiently. Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant procedures. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
