Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are noted. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining a friendly and attentive demeanor throughout the guest experience. Upsell menu items, suggest pairings, and promote specials to enhance sales and guest satisfaction. Manage table settings, clear dishes, buss tables efficiently, and assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, process payments, and give correct change while adhering to cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations; assist with food handling and sanitation tasks regularly. Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings effectively and optimize seating arrangements for maximum efficiency. Collaborate with team members including hosts/hostesses, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service delivery. Engage in ongoing training on food industry standards, customer service excellence, and new menu offerings to stay informed and improve skills. Experience Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous; basic math skills are essential for cash handling and billing accuracy. Experience in serving or hosting roles demonstrates strong guest relations skills and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is required. Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity can be beneficial for supporting food prep or assisting in high-volume settings. Excellent time management skills are necessary to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining quality service.
