Take accurate food and beverage orders while demonstrating extensive knowledge of menu items, including wine and spirits, to upsell and enhance the guest experience. Process sales transactions efficiently using POS systems like Micros or Aloha POS, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and processing credit card payments. Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety protocols. Engage with guests to provide personalized service, answer questions about menu items—including cocktail options—and recommend pairings to elevate their dining experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, bar area, and service stations; assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate any special dietary needs or guest requests effectively. Uphold sanitation standards in accordance with food handling regulations; assist in food preparation when necessary during busy periods. Support team members during peak hours by managing multiple tables efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. Experience Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros or Aloha POS enhances efficiency in processing sales transactions. Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service enhances guest interactions. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while delivering exceptional customer service. Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential. Excellent communication skills combined with a friendly demeanor foster positive guest relations. Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales transactions ensures smooth operations during service hours.
