Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring precise communication with kitchen staff. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards to ensure guest safety. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, promptly addressing any concerns or special requests with professionalism and courtesy. Clear tables promptly and efficiently, bussing as needed to maintain a clean dining environment. Process payments accurately through POS and cash handling procedures, including basic math calculations for bills and tips. Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery in a fine dining atmosphere. Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, wine pairings, and restaurant policies to assist guests effectively. Uphold food safety standards and sanitation regulations consistently to ensure a safe dining environment. Qualifications Proven experience in fine dining service or upscale restaurants is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities. Experience with reservation management tools like OpenTable is a plus. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for cash handling and bill calculations are essential. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or food server within the food industry is advantageous.
