Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Busser/Food Runner to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will be the vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service and guest relations within a lively restaurant setting. This is a tipped position. Duties Clear and reset tables efficiently to prepare for new guests, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization Assist servers by delivering food from the kitchen to guest tables promptly and accurately, ensuring proper food handling procedures Support the dining team with bussing duties, including removing used dishes, glassware, and silverware to keep tables tidy Maintain cleanliness in all service areas, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and managing trash disposal according to safety standards Handle manual lifting of heavy trays or boxes of supplies using safe lifting practices to prevent injury Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate food running, guest requests, and service flow Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper handling procedures during food running and cleaning tasks Requirements Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and restaurant sanitation standards Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar is a plus for understanding order flow Demonstrated ability to provide excellent in-person customer service in a fast-paced environment Understanding of food safety practices related to food handling and preparation A proactive attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction and teamwork
Pay:
$7.50 - $12.00 per hour
