The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff. Responsibilities Deliver food from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation. Assist in setting up and clearing tables, maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order details and any special requests from guests. Support the waitstaff by providing assistance during busy periods, including bussing tables and refilling drinks. Help with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to culinary standards. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries. Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times. Qualifications Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within a restaurant or hotel setting. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for food service and culinary arts is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being proactive in assisting others. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Ability to carry heavy food trays. Ability to navigate stairs with food trays.
