Holt's Cigar Company is expanding operations in Northeast Philly with a new Humidor, Bar & Lounge! The region's oldest and most trusted premium cigar retailer is opening a brand-new 11,000 square-foot facility, including a 2,000 square-foot walk-in humidor, full-service bar, and 7,000 square-foot lounge, plus outdoor patio seating at 2990 Southampton Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154, across the road from our current retail shop. Greet guests, escort them to tables, present menus, and provide detailed information on drinks and cigars Take drink and cigar orders Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our cigar and drink menus, including signature and classic cocktails, whiskey, wines, and craft beers to provide recommendations Serve drinks and cigars promptly, politely, and accurately, ensuring the order is correct and visually appealing Cut and light guests' cigars Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction, refill beverages, and handle any complaints or issues Process payments accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system and manage cash and credit card transactions Collaborate with other staff members, assist with seating, and deliver drinks and cigars as needed Adhere to food safety and health code standards in all service procedures Maintain clean and organized guest areas, including sanitizing surfaces, ashtrays, washing glassware, and properly storing ingredients and equipment Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, maintaining a positive and pleasant demeanorQualifications:
Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years' industry experience, as well as a strong incentive to manage the flow of a high-end, fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, engaging personality Capacity to prioritize and multitask Attentiveness, patience, and a positive attitude Superb organization skills Willingness to learn on a continual basis Punctual and responsible character Dependability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Superlative work ethic Physical stamina with the ability to stand for long periods Passion for premium cigars, a plus Benefits Competitive hourly wage, plus tips Full-time employees who work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for health insurance after 90 days About Company Founded in 1898, Holt's Cigar Company is among the oldest and most respected retailers of premium cigars in the United States.
