Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that food is delivered promptly and accurately from the kitchen to the dining area, enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food service operations, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers. Duties Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. It is your responsibilityto rememberseat numbers to ensure guests are getting the correct dishes Assist with food preparation and handling as needed, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service periods. Help bus tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including clearing dishes and resetting tables for new guests. Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems as required for order tracking and communication with front-of-house staff. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries or concerns promptly. Support other team members as needed to maintain efficient restaurant operations. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required. Familiarity with kitchen operations, food handling, and preparation techniques is a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift items as necessary for food delivery and bussing tasks.
