Breakfast Server - Wally's, Newport RI Job Summary Wally's in Newport is looking for friendly, high-energy Breakfast Servers to give our guests excellent service from the first cup of coffee to the final check. In this fast-paced role, you'll take orders, serve food and drinks, and make sure every guest leaves happy. Your positive attitude, menu knowledge and ability to work well under pressure will help keep our morning service running smoothly. This paid position, which includes tips, is a chance to join a lively team that cares about great hospitality. Responsibilities Greet guests promptly and warmly, present menus and explain daily specials Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system Deliver food and drinks on time and check on guests throughout the meal Make menu recommendations and answer questions about ingredients and preparation Process payments accurately and handle cash and card transactions responsibly Keep your section, side stations and coffee service stocked, clean and organized Communicate clearly with the kitchen, hosts and bussers so service runs smoothly Respond to guest concerns promptly and professionally Complete opening and closing side work as assigned Follow food safety, sanitation and hygiene standards at all times Requirements Previous serving experience preferred, especially breakfast or brunch Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced setting Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems Basic math and cash handling skills Strong attention to detail and order accuracy Knowledge of food safety and proper hygiene practices Availability for early mornings, weekends and holidays Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs Join us in creating memorable dining experiences by combining your hospitality skills with a passion for guest service.
