We are a 26-seat fine dining restaurant in the heart of downtown Providence offering an eight-course chef's tasting menu and a thoughtful low-intervention wine program. Our team is small, collaborative, and deeply committed to creating memorable guest experiences through precision, warmth, and genuine hospitality. This is an opportunity to work in an ambitious and highly personal restaurant environment alongside a team that values craft, curiosity, and constant growth. About Claudine Claudine is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Josh Finger and Maggie McConnell , who met while working together at Chef Thomas Keller's Per Se in New York City. Their experience in one of the country's most celebrated dining rooms continues to shape the restaurant's approach to hospitality, attention to detail, and respect for ingredients and technique. Our market-driven tasting menu is rooted in classic French cuisine with a strong emphasis on seafood and the products of the Northeast. The menu changes frequently—sometimes nightly—based on seasonality and availability, highlighting exceptional ingredients from New England and beyond. The restaurant features a fully open kitchen connected directly to a single intimate dining room, allowing guests to experience the energy and precision of the team throughout the evening. In 2026, Claudine was named a semifinalist for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation. What You'll Do Support Captains with all aspects of table maintenance, including water service, clearing, resetting, and guest support Run food and beverages with precision, professionalism, and attention to detail Assist with coffee and after-dinner beverage service Anticipate guest and team needs to help maintain seamless service flow Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service Learn and communicate frequently changing menu details with confidence and accuracy Contribute positively to a collaborative and respectful team environment Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position.
