Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing a welcoming first impression. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bar team. Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Upsell menu items including specialty cocktails, wines, spirits, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while handling cash safely and accurately. Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations through bussing and sanitation practices. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu options to elevate the dining experience. Assist with food handling, beverage preparation, and basic food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health standards. Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address concerns promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit. Requirements Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and sales transactions. Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between serving tables and handling transactions. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales efficiently. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or cashier is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and restaurant revenue.
