Job Description
Position Summary At Ocean Mist, Food Runners are an essential connection between our kitchen and dining room. Our kitchen produces hundreds of meals each day, making speed, accuracy, and teamwork critical to our success. The Food Runner ensures every plate is delivered quickly, accurately, and professionally while supporting bartenders, kitchen staff, and managers in creating an exceptional guest experience. Essential Responsibilities Food Delivery Deliver food quickly and accurately from the kitchen to guests. Verify each order before leaving the kitchen. Ensure all food is complete with appropriate sauces, condiments, and utensils. Announce and identify meals when delivering them to guests. Maintain food quality and presentation during delivery. Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate them to the appropriate team member. Kitchen & Dining Room Support Maintain clear communication with kitchen staff regarding order status. Assist with organizing food in the service window. Keep expo and service stations clean and organized. Assist bartenders by clearing plates, refilling water, and resetting tables when appropriate. Help maintain cleanliness throughout the dining room. Support the restaurant wherever needed during busy periods. Teamwork Work closely with cooks, expeditors, bartenders, barbacks, bartenders, and managers. Communicate respectfully and efficiently. Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Help ensure every guest receives timely and accurate service. Qualifications Positive, friendly, team-oriented attitude. Strong communication skills. Ability to multitask under pressure. Excellent attention to detail. Dependable with strong attendance. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability required. Restaurant experience is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently carry trays weighing up to 40 pounds. Work quickly through crowded dining areas. Safely navigate stairs, wet floors, and busy restaurant environments. Success in This Position A successful
