Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment at Hotel Hartness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently. We are expanding our evening dining team and looking to launch weekend brunch soon. We are looking a PT servers. Pay is hourly + gratuities. Current need is for Wednesday and Saturday night coverage. Candidate must currently hold alcohol serving permit or agree to obtain the certification within 30 days of hire and provide the certificate upon completion. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience. Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS systems. Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining proper presentation standards. Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area according to sanitation guidelines. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and address any guest concerns or special requests. Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to provide informed recommendations to guests. Uphold food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations throughout the service process. Perform cleaning and setup duties prior to, after and during service. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings. Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent customer service skills, with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and efficiently. Culinary experience or knowledge of food handling practices is a plus.
