Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are clearly communicated to the kitchen staff Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining a high standard of presentation and cleanliness Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, including processing payments and providing change Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and enthusiasm Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and order management Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and tip calculation Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a plus for better understanding of menu items and preparation processes Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue Previous host/hostess or serving experience in a hospitality setting is highly desirable Strong communication skills coupled with a friendly demeanor to foster guest satisfaction Join our team where your passion for hospitality meets the opportunity to grow within a lively environment!
