Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Food Runner and Cashier, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through efficient food service and friendly customer interactions. In this energetic position, you will ensure timely delivery of orders from the kitchen to guests' tables, assist with food handling and preparation, and manage cashier responsibilities with accuracy and enthusiasm. Your positive attitude and excellent communication skills will help create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Duties Efficiently deliver food from the kitchen to guests' tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Handle cash register transactions using POS systems such as Toast with precision and friendliness. Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, dining areas, and food handling zones in compliance with food safety standards. Buss tables promptly by clearing dishes, resetting tables, and supporting overall guest comfort. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to coordinate orders and address special requests or concerns. Support banquet or event service when needed, providing attentive guest service during large or special occasions. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety regulations is essential. Experience with serving, bussing, or working in banquet settings enhances your ability to excel in this role. Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Kitchen experience or culinary background supports efficient food delivery and preparation tasks. Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are critical for providing excellent guest services. Prior hotel or hospitality experience can be advantageous for understanding guest expectations and service excellence.
