Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with genuine hospitality. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication of guest preferences. Serve food and drinks efficiently, including handling beverage service, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and cocktail preparation when needed. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities. Process cash transactions and credit card payments accurately while managing sales transactions with POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address guest inquiries or concerns promptly. Assist with food handling, food preparation support, and ensuring proper food safety practices are followed at all times. Support guest relations through attentive service, resolving issues professionally to ensure satisfaction. Contribute to a lively atmosphere by engaging with guests during night shifts or nightclub-style settings when applicable. Requirements Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or Japanese cuisine settings. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and process sales efficiently using POS systems. Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, beverage service, and food handling practices. Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for processing payments and managing bills confidently. Experience working in nightlife or nightclub settings is advantageous but not mandatory. Commitment to food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food preparation procedures. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and night shifts as required by restaurant hours.
