via Email Summary Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of the Food & Beverage team as an In Room Dining Server at Thompson Dallas, conveniently located in downtown Dallas near the Akard Street DART station. Thompson Dallas is a luxury hotel located within The National, Dallas' urban luxury mixed-use destination. The hotel features 219 guestrooms, including 52 suites; three full-service dining and beverage offerings; a boutique spa and fitness experience focused on wellness; and a variety of event spaces, including the 14,000-square-foot National Ballroom. Thompson Dallas, part of the boundless Hyatt Hotels Corporation portfolio, rises above the Dallas skyline with its stunning midcentury-modern hexagon design. The hotel brings guests and the community together through an inspired tribute to history, design, and culture. The In Room Dining Server delivers a thoughtful, elevated experience directly to our guests' rooms. This colleague is responsible for presenting food and beverage orders accurately, promptly, and at the proper temperature while creating a warm and personalized interaction. The typical schedule for this position is 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Flexibility is required, as schedules may vary based on business needs and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Prepare trays and room service carts with the appropriate food, beverages, condiments, silverware, glassware, linens, utensils, and service items. Review every order for accuracy, completeness, presentation, and special requests before leaving the kitchen. Present orders neatly and explain menu items or beverages when appropriate. Verify billing accuracy and present the check to the guest for review and signature. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meal and overall experience. Retrieve trays, carts, and service items from guest rooms and hallways in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation of all work areas, equipment, trays, and carts. Communicate effectively with the kitchen, front office, housekeeping, and other Food & Beverage colleagues. Assist other dining outlets and perform additional duties as needed based on business demands. Follow all hotel, food safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and service standards. Qualifications Previous experience in upscale, luxury hotel, restaurant, or in room dining service preferred. Food Handler certification and TABC certification required. Knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and refined dining service preferred. Refined verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple orders in a fast-paced environment. A genuine desire to satisfy the needs of others and create memorable guest experiences. Professional appearance and positive, team-oriented attitude. Ability to work the typical 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. shift with flexibility to accommodate changing business needs. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, stoop, push, and pull. Ability to safely lift and carry trays, food and beverage items, and service equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. Ability to push and maneuver loaded room service carts through guest hallways and doorways.
