Job Description

Overview To wait on tables promptly and courteously, and to serve guests in any way possible while delivering exceptional service across Omni Las Colinas' food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, pool service, and other assigned outlets. Responsibilities Knowledge of dining room, high-volume restaurant, pool, sports, and live entertainment bar service. Be prepared to work across various food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, pool service, and other outlets as assigned. Must have full familiarity with menus and beverage offerings for assigned outlets. Greet guests as they enter the restaurant, approach the pool area, or visit an assigned outlet with a pleasant smile and superior customer service. Take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on both food and beverage menu selections and daily specials. Communicate with the culinary and beverage teams regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests. Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order and adhere to cash-handling standards. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage. Present an accurate check to the guest and process payment. Maintain clean work areas throughout the day, including the restaurant, pool, and other assigned outlet areas. Complete station set-up and break-down and all other side work duties as assigned. Ensure tables and service areas are set up properly, including polishing and cleaning glasses. Provide service to guests in accordance with Omni Moments of Service Standards. Be pleasant, smile, and greet all guests, using surnames when you obtain them. Clean, clear, and reset tables and service areas promptly. Protect the hotel from liability with regard to overserving guests. Maintain awareness of outlet-specific service standards, safety procedures, and guest needs. Flexibly support other food and beverage outlets as business needs require. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager or Food & Beverage leadership. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of serving experience; high-volume restaurant, sports/live entertainment bar, or pool service experience preferred. Must be TABC certified, or have the ability to obtain a valid TABC permit and Food Handler's permit. Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer, with experience selling and presenting specialty mixed cocktails. Previous cash-handling experience required. Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers. Excellent customer service, service recovery, and problem-solving skills. Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak pool/outlet periods. Ability to adapt to both indoor and outdoor service environments. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, and consistent use of hands and arms.
