Duties Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments efficiently, and give correct change while adhering to cash handling procedures. Maintain knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety. Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy service times to ensure smooth operations. Provide attentive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally. Manage beverage service including cocktail preparation, wine service, and spirits knowledge to elevate the dining experience. Support the team in food preparation tasks when needed and uphold sanitation standards throughout the shift. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to build rapport quickly. Ability to multitask efficiently during high-volume service periods while maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrated sales skills with a knack for upselling beverages like wine, spirits, cocktails, and menu items confidently. Solid understanding of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash transactions seamlessly. Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, drink recipes, and beverage presentation techniques. Experience in culinary preparation or kitchen support is advantageous but not required. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
