You will expertly manage reservations, seat guests efficiently, and deliver exceptional service that encourages repeat visits. Your culinary knowledge and beverage expertise will enhance guest satisfaction, while your ability to handle transactions accurately keeps operations running smoothly. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide menus, and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms. Manage waitlists and coordinate seating to optimize table turnover while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen and bar staff. Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Serve food and beverages with professionalism, including cocktail mixing, wine pouring, and beverage service in accordance with food safety standards. Process cash and card transactions efficiently, handling cash handling duties responsibly while maintaining accuracy in sales transaction processing. Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff alike. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles such as waitstaff or host/hostess is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and sales processing. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally. Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail in order accuracy and guest interactions. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs efficiently. Culinary experience or beverage knowledge—including spirits, wine, cocktails—enhances your ability to upsell menu items confidently. Excellent communication skills paired with a friendly demeanor that fosters guest relations and team collaboration.
