Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with genuine hospitality. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication of guest preferences. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, and specialty cocktails, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, handling all sales transactions with integrity. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth service flow. Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. Qualifications Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus. Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems. Culinary experience or beverage knowledge—including wine, spirits, cocktail preparation—is desirable. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods. Basic math skills for processing payments and managing tabs confidently. Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one; experience with sanitation standards is preferred. OpenTable reservation system familiarity is a bonus; previous host/hostess or bussing experience is beneficial.
