Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food service industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience, from taking orders to delivering food and beverages with precision and care. Duties Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS systems. Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables, maintaining high standards of presentation. Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math for processing payments. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and address any guest concerns promptly. Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and wine pairings to provide informed recommendations. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred. Culinary experience is a plus, along with knowledge of food preparation techniques. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential. Experience as a host/host or in guest services is beneficial. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are key attributes for success in this role.
