Maintain all aspects of the service areas and dining room. Serves as the ambassador of the establishment. Maintain standards of completion of check list and hold self-accountable.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Comprehensive knowledge of table and position numbers Master all 5 setup/opening duties requirement in a timely fashion Set/reset tables correctly, quietly, efficiently, and to standards Greet guests and offer beverage service, including cream, sugar, etc. Knowledge of special caffeine/Alcoholic drinks offered in the morning Maintain tables and side stands throughout service, drink refills, clearing and closing with guest without constantly being told to do so Input house breakfast correctly in the POS Polish silver/stemware Learn how to do all items on all 3 checklists Learn set up of CCH/Kitchen Tables Completes a basic test (verbal or written) about the breakfast menu and drinks Completes a basic test (Verbal or written) about The Inn and Chef Patrick O'Connell Be able to help train new employees to the standards that are in place Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of The Forbes 5-Star standards, AAA, Michelin and Relais & Chateuax Learn Tea Service
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Excellent communication skills Must be at least 16 years of age Must be well-groomed and well-presented with no visible tattoos Must have reliable transportation Must be on time to scheduled shift Open to working weekends and holidays Desirable Familiarity with Forbes Standards Ability to communicate in a language other than English, preferably Spanish or French Certification in
CPR SKILL
Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written Must always be organized and maintain cleanliness of workstation Ability to speak using clear and professional language Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced / stressful environment Ability to cross-train across multiple departments and assist when needed Ability to assist guests with questions about the property, its history, and surrounding areas
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift 30+ lbs.
