Job Description
As a Server (Dining Services Associate) with Cascades of Bremerton, you're responsible for creating a safe, comfortable and pleasant dining experience for our seniors. Unlike other serving positions in hospitality (restaurants, hotels, resorts), in this role you'll have the opportunity to build life-long relationships serving our residents the nutritious meals that keep them thriving every day. What we look for in a Dining Room Server (Dining Services Associate): Work with the dining room manager to identify dietary needs and develop appropriate dietary plans Must possess current first aid certification and a current food handler's or serve safe certification Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families Demonstrate active listening techniques, gain support by treating others with dignity and respect Strong customer service skills with ability to problem solve Ownership attitude who is able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day Reliable transportation and dependable when it comes to showing up on time Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends What you can expect to do as a Server (Dining Services Associate): Prepare dining room for all meals, completing the pre-meal procedures Fill resident food requests, transport food to dining room or deliver service trays to resident's units Establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff Use proper tasting techniques to understand the flavor of all entrees and have knowledge of their ingredients, prior to meal service Demonstrate organizational skills around time management Ability to understand menus and answer questions that might arise Ensure cleanliness in both kitchen and dining room Actively participates as a member of a team and is committed to working toward goals set by management Promote the mission, values and beliefs of
