Summary Provides exceptional dining service for seniors who have chosen to make our community their home. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Graciously and respectfully assist residents in the dining room to be seated and make menu selections. Initiate the serving of all entrees; to include cold and hot beverage service, salad, soup, hot entrees, dessert service and last beverage service. Clear tables throughout the meal. Reset all tables in the dining room after meal service ends. Assist with cleanup, such as washing and putting away dishes and utensils, vacuuming or sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, and watering plants. Assist with food preparation as required. Observe when food and dining room supplies are low and report to the Dining Services Director. Strictly follow all cleaning schedules, sanitation checklists, and guidelines related to hygiene and infection control. Follow all dining services policies and procedures, according to training manual. Attend mandatory meetings as scheduled by Executive Director. Maintain confidentiality of resident, community, employee, and company information. Maintain working knowledge of fire and disaster plans and responsibilities under emergency conditions. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must satisfy all state health, licensure/certification, and background requirements.

Experience:

Food service experience preferred, but not required.

Certificates and Licenses:

Must have food handler's permit and complete any additional training or certification requirements mandated by the state of employment.

Communication Skills:

Receive and carry out verbal or written instruction. Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via email with customers and co-workers.
