Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Process Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering legal documents to individuals involved in court proceedings, ensuring that all documents are served in accordance with legal requirements. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing a variety of tasks. Duties
- Serve legal documents such as summons, complaints, subpoenas, and other court-related papers to defendants or witnesses.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding the service of process.
- Maintain accurate records of all documents served via our online tracking system. Ability to sign proof of service documentation promptly.
- Communicate effectively with staff and court personnel.
- Conduct fieldwork to locate individuals for document delivery, utilizing various resources as necessary.
- Handle courier responsibilities by transporting legal files and documents between offices and courts as needed.
- Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines for document delivery. Skills
- Ability to work with the public and people from a variety of cultural backgrounds
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with clients and legal professionals.
- Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance with legal standards.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions based on situational assessments.
- Familiarity with courier services or experience in file management is a plus.
- Proficient in using technology for record keeping and communication purposes.
