Recently revamped, Azúcar is now a year-round Latin-flavored club and event venue — the kind of place where a reggaeton night, a rave, a drag show, a paint-and-sip, and a live banda set can all happen in the same month. Your Mission Be the face of the floor—move fast, read the room, and make every guest feel seen and celebrated. You'll wear more than one hat on any given night: server, barback, and when the moment calls for it, the calm, firm presence that keeps our space safe for everyone. What You'll Do — Key Duties Serve & Sell

• Take drink and food orders, deliver rounds to tables and sections, upsell specials, and keep tabs accurate through our Toast POS system. Barback Support
• Stock ice bins, restock liquor and mixers, swap kegs, polish and run glassware, and keep the bar moving so bartenders never slow down. Floor Safety
• Monitor guest behavior, enforce venue policies, de-escalate situations calmly and professionally, and coordinate with the on-duty lead when incidents require escalation. Judgment and communication matter more than force. Create Content
• Appear in or help capture event clips for Instagram/TikTok each week (Marketing handles all editing and posting). Engage Guests
• Interact warmly in English and Spanish, celebrate milestones, suggest drinks and specials, resolve complaints quickly, and keep the energy up. Maintain & Close
• Bus tables, clear the floor, restock service stations, and help with end-of-night cleaning and closing duties. Switch Roles Fluidly
• Move between server, barback, and floor safety duties as the night demands—sometimes all three in the same shift. Uphold Standards
• Follow WA liquor laws, ID check protocols, and sanitation requirements; attend shift briefings and safety trainings on time.

Must-Haves Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. 1+ year experience in a high-volume bar, club, restaurant, or hospitality setting. WA MAST permit (or ability to obtain within 30 days). Able to lift 50 lbs, stand 6-8 hours, and thrive in a loud, high-energy environment. Comfortable being the steady, professional presence in tense or fast-moving situations.
