Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations via OpenTable, and seat guests efficiently to optimize flow. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff. Provide knowledgeable recommendations, upsell menu items, and promote specials to enhance sales opportunities. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, food safety, and sanitation. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while balancing registers at shift end. Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering guest relations. Support kitchen staff with basic food handling and food safety practices as needed during busy service periods. Manage guest relations professionally in a fast-paced environment that may include nightlife or fine dining settings. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, including host/hostess or serving roles preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume service times. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while providing attentive guest service. Experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is a plus but not required. Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and order processing are essential.
