Food Server - Part Time Hilton Seattle Airport Hotel & Conference Center - Paramount Hotels Job Description The Hilton Seattle Airport Hotel & Conference Center, under the ownership and management of Paramount Hotels, is seeking an experienced, professional, and guest-focused Food Server to join our F&B team. This individual will play a key role and is usually one of the first, and last, points of contact for our guests in their dining experience that leads to creating exceptional first and last impressions for our guests. POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Server plays a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences by delivering exceptional food and beverage service with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. As a key member of our Food & Beverage team, the Server is responsible for ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and cared for from the moment they are seated until their visit concludes. This position serves as the primary point of contact for guests throughout their dining experience, providing knowledgeable menu recommendations, accurately taking and delivering food and beverage orders, anticipating guest needs, and responding promptly to requests. The Server is expected to maintain a thorough understanding of menu offerings, daily specials, and beverage selections while consistently upholding the highest standards of service, cleanliness, food safety, and professionalism. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, a positive and energetic attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, enjoys building genuine connections with guests, and takes pride in creating exceptional experiences that encourage guests to return. By working collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, hosts, and fellow team members, the Server contributes to the overall success of the restaurant while supporting the hotel's commitment to outstanding guest satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES - FOOD SERVER
  • Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a warm, professional, and welcoming demeanor.
  • Welcome guests promptly and professionally while providing exceptional customer service throughout their dining experience.
  • Present menus, answer questions, and make knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations.
  • Accurately take and enter guest orders using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring presentation and service standards are met.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction, respond promptly to requests, and resolve concerns with professionalism.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, daily specials, ingredients, and promotions.
  • Prepare and serve beverages in accordance with established standards.
  • Set and maintain tables according to restaurant service standards.
  • Process guest payments accurately and balance transactions at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while complying with all food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and fellow team members to ensure seamless service.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or the equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Six months to one year of restaurant serving experience preferred.
  • Previous hotel or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, restaurant service standards, guest relations, and dining etiquette.
  • Knowledge of proper table settings, service ware, and menu offerings.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • The ability to learn, retain, and confidently describe menu items, ingredients, and daily specials.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • The ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to safely carry and transport trays weighing up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
  • The ability to operate beverage equipment and other restaurant service equipment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • The ability to work days, nights, overnight, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal and guest service skills with the ability to remain professional and courteous in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management.
  • Must obtain and maintain all applicable state and local certifications required for the position, including Food Worker Cards or other required permits.
  • Alcohol service certification may be required depending on assigned responsibilities.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are preferred but not required.
  • Ability to accurately handle credit card transactions, and balancing procedures.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and flexibility with scheduling needs.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing positively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with hotel brand and guest service standards.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient during busy situations.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform duties that may require walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus.
