We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Expo to join our team. Many of our staff are cross-trained across roles, and joining Osteria La Spiga offers the opportunity to grow in a supportive restaurant setting in the heart of Seattle. Role Description As Expo/Food Runner at Osteria La Spiga, you'll be the link between the kitchen and dining room, ensuring every dish leaves the kitchen accurate and complete. You'll keep tickets organized, catch errors before they reach the table, and help ensure smooth service. Responsibilities Review tickets for accuracy and coordinate timing between kitchen stations Inspect plates for presentation, portioning, and correctness before they leave the kitchen Communicate clearly with cooks and servers to keep orders moving Catch and correct errors (missing items, allergy/modification mistakes) before dishes go out Call and confirm orders, ensuring courses are paced appropriately for each table Run food to tables Pre-bus tables and support dining room turnover as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo station Follow all health, food safety, and sanitation regulations Support teammates and pitch in across roles as needed, especially during busy periods Hours We're looking for someone with part-time availability for dinner service shifts, Tuesday through Saturday, 5:00 PM-10:00 PM. Flexibility offered as needed — please specify your availability in your application. Qualifications Experience in a full-service restaurant Strong organizational skills and attention to detail under pressure Clear, calm communication skills and composure during high-volume service Openness to cross-training in other FOH roles Physical ability to stand for extended periods, hold trays of food, and move quickly between stations Good to Have (Not Required) Familiarity with Italian cuisine and ingredients Prior experience specifically working expo Experience with
