Location Marriott Tacoma Downtown, Tacoma, Washington, United States of America About the opportunity The Restaurant Server provides an exceptional, personalized dining experience by delivering elevated, refined, attentive, and knowledgeable service, ensuring every guest interaction exceeds expectations. What you'll get to do Greet guests warmly and professionally, guiding them through a high-end dining experience from arrival to departure Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, and seasonal changes Offer thoughtful recommendations for food and beverage pairings, including wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options Execute fine dining service techniques, including tableside service, coursed meals, wine service, and proper plate presentation Handle guest concerns or special requests with discretion, empathy, and urgency Skills and Experience Prior experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality preferred Must obtain and maintain any required state or local alcohol service permits or certifications Must obtain and maintain any required state or local food service certifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills High level of attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Passion for hospitality, food, and beverage Ability to remain calm, poised, and professional under pressure
