Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Banquet Server to join our team at The Wenatchee Convention Center. As a Banquet Server, you will play a vital role in ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional service and be knowledgeable in food service and hospitality.
Duties:
  • Assist with setting up the banquet area, including placing tableware, linens, and decorations.
  • Answering any questions guests may have about the menu.
  • Deliver food and drinks to guests, ensuring that the presentation and quality meet the Convention Center standards.
  • Provide exceptional guest relations, responding to any requests or concerns in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure that guests receive their orders promptly and correctly.
  • Manage cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized banquet area, ensuring that all trash and recyclables are removed and disposed of properly.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Provide support with catering events, including setting up and cleaning up the banquet area.
  • Assist with catering service, including transporting food and equipment as needed.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the hotel's catering options and be able to provide recommendations to guests.
  • Must have a current Washington state
Food Handlers Skills:
  • Experience in the food industry, with a focus on restaurant or hotel service.
  • Strong knowledge of food service and hospitality principles.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent guest relations and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with food service equipment and supplies.
  • Experience with catering events and service.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as tables and chairs.
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation and presentation.
  • Basic bartending skills, including the ability to prepare and serve beverages.
  • Culinary skills, including the ability to prepare and present food.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues.
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
