Job Description

The Hot Case Server & Counter Associate plays a key role in delivering excellent guest service while supporting our kitchen team at a fast-paced, family-owned Italian deli and restaurant. You'll serve guests from our hot food counter, handle dine-in and carryout orders, keep the seating area clean and inviting, and make sure every customer leaves with a warm, welcoming experience. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys a busy, customer-facing environment and has a genuine passion for great food and teamwork. We're growing quickly and have multiple openings — both full-time and part-time — with flexible scheduling. Key Responsibilities:
Serve guests from the hot case, ensuring accurate portions and presentation Take and package carryout orders promptly and professionally Monitor and restock the hot case as needed Assist with plating, garnishing, and assembling meals for dine-in service Keep the service area, counters, and beverage stations clean and organized Support catering orders and assist with packaging or delivery prep as needed Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures Provide friendly, efficient service and maintain a positive team atmosphere
Requirements:
Strong customer service and communication skills Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Comfortable working in a busy kitchen and deli environment Able to work weekends and peak holiday weeks Prior food service or waitstaff experience preferred, but not required (will train) Must follow all food handling and safety guidelines
Schedule & Availability:
Approximately 15-40 hours per week Flexible scheduling; some Saturday shifts required Memorial Day to
Labor Day:
Closed Mondays & Tuesdays Post-Labor Day through
Spring:
Closed Sundays & Mondays Closed on major holidays Additional hours may be required before holidays or special events
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting at $13.00-15.00 per hour + tips Employee meal discount Supportive, family-style team environment Opportunities to grow and cross-train in other departments
