Working collaboratively with the restaurant team, Servers ensure proper setup and smooth execution of service throughout each shift. They maintain strong product knowledge, deliver attentive service, and support fellow team members to ensure an elevated dining experience that reflects the tradition of excellence at The Edgewater. Essential Job Functions Consistently deliver authentic, professional, and friendly service to all guests. Greet guests promptly and warmly, following The Edgewater service standards. Accurately take food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery. Handle guest requests, issues, or complaints with professionalism and escalate when necessary. Prepare stations for service and complete opening/closing checklists. Maintain knowledge of menus, specials, wine pairings, and bar offerings. Assist with banquet and event functions including plated meals, buffets, and working lunches. Perform side duties including restocking, cleaning, and bar support tasks such as filling ice bins, garnishing drinks, and resetting tables. Support restaurant cleanliness by maintaining counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas. Collaborate with servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Attend required training sessions and stay updated on service standards and restaurant policies. Provide support to colleagues across the restaurant and hotel when needed. Qualifications Previous serving experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant. Knowledge of fine dining service standards, wines, liquors, and beers. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and a guest-focused attitude. Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Professional, well-groomed, and well-spoken demeanor. Understanding of food preparation, safe handling, sanitation standards, and bar terminology. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
