Full Job Description Description:
The Server is responsible for delivering an elevated dining experience by providing attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized service to each guest. This role ensures seamless coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house, maintains a strong understanding of menu offerings, and anticipates guest needs to create a refined and memorable experience. The Server upholds the standards of professionalism, hospitality, and attention to detail expected in a fine dining environment while contributing to overall guest satisfaction and repeat business.
Requirements:
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets customers at the table; ensures the table is clean; utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided. Distributes menus and presents the daily specials. Answers questions regarding the menu. Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen. Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers. Ensures food is prepared correctly and to guests' satisfaction; returns incorrect orders to kitchen. Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals. Prepares customers' checks and collects payment. Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments. All Other Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Highly organized and self-directed. Exceptional interpersonal, oral, presentation and written communication skills. Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment. Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately. Ability to operate point-of-sale systems. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least sixteen years old (18 years old to serve alcoholic beverages). Previous experience as a server preferred. Must successfully complete restaurant's training course.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, often for the duration of a full shift. Capability to lift, carry, and balance trays, plates, and service items weighing up to 25-30 pounds. Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and kneeling to provide service and set up or clear tables. Manual dexterity to handle glassware, flatware, and small service items with precision and care. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail. Clear verbal communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members in a busy dining room. Capability to navigate crowded spaces safely and efficiently. Tolerance for varying temperatures, including warm dining rooms and proximity to kitchen areas.
