Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance guest satisfaction. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated effectively. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards. Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing honest recommendations based on guest preferences. Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and ensuring cleanliness throughout your shift. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations. Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally. Support openTable reservations management to optimize seating arrangements during busy hours. Uphold food safety standards and sanitation protocols in compliance with health regulations at all times. Qualifications Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Demonstrated culinary experience or understanding of food preparation enhances service quality. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods. Proven ability in sales techniques including upselling to increase revenue while providing genuine guest service. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty. Knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation standards, and proper food handling practices. Experience with bussing, host/hostess duties, or cashiering is advantageous. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
