dinner server is the face of a restaurant during the evening shift. They are responsible for guiding the guest's dining experience from seating to payment. Primary duties include memorizing the menu, taking orders, delivering food and drinks, maintaining dining room cleanliness, and processing guest bills efficiently while maintaining a genuine positive attitude
Core Responsibilities Guest Relations:
Greet patrons, seat them, and provide menu recommendations based on dietary preferences or daily specials.
Order Taking & Delivery:
Accurately input food and beverage orders into the POS system and ensure timely delivery from the kitchen to the correct guest.
Table Maintenance:
Monitor guest needs, refill beverages, clear finished plates, and reset tables for the next seating.
Payment Processing:
Present guests with their checks, process cash or credit transactions, and sincerely thank them for their visit
Side Work & Sanitation:
Complete pre-shift and post-shift cleaning duties, restock workstation items (silverware, napkins, condiments), and adhere to strict health codes.
Key Qualifications & Skills Interpersonal Skills:
A welcoming, patient, positive demeanor and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Product Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the restaurant's food menu, ingredients, and beverage pairings (such as wine or craft cocktails).
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand and walk for extended hours, lift trays or equipment (typically up to 25-50 lbs), and navigate crowded dining rooms.
Time Management:
Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks across multiple tables while maintaining a professional, positive, unhurried presence
Pay:
$8.00 per hour
