Hotel Assistant General Manager

Position Summary The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and a positive team environment. This role assists with day-to-day operations, team leadership, staffing, training, and maintaining brand standards while helping drive operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Assist in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient performance across all departments, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and breakfast service Support recruitment, hiring, training, and development of team members while helping manage schedules and staffing levels to meet business demands Foster a strong customer service culture focused on guest satisfaction and positive guest experiences Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining vendor relationships to support hotel operations Support financial performance initiatives by assisting with budgets, labor management, P&L review, and expense control Help implement strategies to maximize operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and profitability Ensure compliance with Holiday Inn Express brand standards, company policies, and local/state regulations Address guest concerns and assist in resolving issues promptly and professionally Support ongoing training and coaching programs to improve employee performance and service standards Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards are consistently upheld Serve as acting manager in the absence of the General Manager as needed Qualifications Previous hotel supervisory or management experience preferred Strong understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, and maintenance Experience with scheduling, labor management, and hotel financial reporting preferred Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed Key Competencies Leadership & Team Support Guest Service Excellence Operational Efficiency Staff Training & Development Financial Awareness Attention to
