Hotel General Manager

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Hotel General Manager to lead our hospitality team and drive the overall success of our hotel property. Responsibilities Lead and supervise all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional guest service. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, improve efficiency, and maximize revenue management opportunities. Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control measures to meet financial targets while maintaining quality standards. Manage human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development to build a motivated and skilled team. Maintain high standards of guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints promptly, and ensuring memorable experiences for all visitors. Oversee front desk operations including multi-line phone systems, phone etiquette, reservation management, and guest check-in/check-out procedures. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, hotel policies, and industry standards to uphold the integrity of the property. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote the resort's amenities and services to attract new guests and retain loyal customers. Conduct night audits and oversee overnight operations to ensure smooth continuity of service during off-hours. Utilize hospitality management tools to monitor performance metrics, review guest feedback, and implement continuous improvements. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles with supervising responsibilities. Strong background in hospitality management including revenue management, guest services, human resources, and budgeting. Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to effectively communicate with diverse guests and staff. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences. Knowledge of hotel operations such as front desk procedures, night audit processes, resort amenities, and guest relations. Experience with multi-line phone systems, phone etiquette, and handling guest inquiries efficiently. Familiarity with hospitality software systems for reservations, billing, and performance tracking is preferred. Hospitality or hotel management certification is a plus; hands-on hotel experience is essential.
