In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort throughout guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in hospitality and custodial services while working in a vibrant hotel environment. Pay is $10.50 per room cleaned, usually 1-2 per hour possible. Duties Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities to ensure a spotless environment. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces. Perform floor care tasks including carpet cleaning, polishing hard floors, and using industrial cleaning equipment to uphold safety and hygiene standards. Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries, linens, and cleaning products to ensure availability for staff and guests. Follow established protocols for waste disposal and linen handling while adhering to health and safety regulations. Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold the hotel's quality standards. Support housekeeping management in training new team members and maintaining inventory records for cleaning supplies. Experience Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles within hotels or similar hospitality environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques including carpet extraction and tile/grout care. Previous janitorial or industrial cleaning experience that demonstrates attention to detail and efficiency. Knowledge of hospitality standards related to guest service cleanliness expectations is a plus. Strong understanding of health and safety protocols related to cleaning procedures in busy environments.
