Hotel Maintenance Tech

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Person to join the team at the brand new Residence Inn by Marriott Traverse City! The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the functionality of our property through a variety of maintenance tasks. This role requires a strong background in facilities maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for both staff and residents. Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance on facilities to ensure optimal functionality. Perform routine pool inspections and adjust chemical balance as needed to meet regulations. Conduct residential painting and minor repairs as needed. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including electrical components. Fabricate parts or structures as required to support maintenance tasks. Respond to maintenance concerns reported by in-house guests Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly. Respond to emergency on-call situations, as required Experience Proven experience in hotel maintenance or a related field is heavily preferred and advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively. Familiarity with electrical systems and logic controllers is advantageous. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. A customer-focused attitude with the ability to maintain professionalism in all interactions. Prior experience maintaining hotel pools, including knowledge of pool chemicals and equipment, is preferred.
